The Project Manager partners with leaders in sales and consulting to ensure that projects are planned and executed in a manner that meets client and internal expectations. This role generally involves delivering complex, global, multi-phase projects to a wide variety of clients in alignment with the client sponsor(s)
Primary Responsibilities
• Responsible for overall project management
• Manage the production of all client deliverables and act as a central coordinator for all requests and activities to deliver successfully to the client
• Set up and manage project plans, with detailed timelines
• Direct and motivate the project support team, and guide the activities of the consultants and analysts on the project
• Agree roles with the project team
• Produce relevant project documentation and ensure consistency of communication to the team
• Manage and communicate risks, putting in place appropriate contingency actions
• Take responsibility for overall progress and use of resources (via internal resourcing processes) and initiate corrective action where required
• Be responsible for project creep and advising consultant of changes to project scope
• Prepare and communicate status reports and communication cascades to the project team
• Liaise with all member s of the project team to assure the overall direction and integrity of the project
• Agree and implement the quality strategy with the rest of the project team
• Communicate any potential for future work to the lead consultant
• Prepare and communicate lessons learned documentation, following project debrief
• Prepare the project closure documentation
• Prepare any follow-on actions required and communicate to others where relevant
• Be responsible for overall project profitability

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
• PRINCE2 foundation status (or considerable experience of working in this way)
• Previous project management experience is required, preferably market research or survey background.
• Experience of managing global survey projects across time zones is preferred
• Thorough understanding of administrative and project management processes (billing, invoicing, time & expense recording etc.)
• Strong documentation management standards and version control
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills; particularly Excel, Project and PowerPoint
• Ability to hold informed and credible discussions with clients and consultants at all levels articulating how Korn Ferry can help address the client’s issues
• Able to proactively and effectively manage own time
• Ability to develop a thorough understanding of the client’s business, industry and needs
• Highly motivated, proactive individual with a strong customer service ethic
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professional, credible and confident style
• Strong organisational and research skills
• Strong team player with an adaptable and flexible approach
• Good understanding of the professional services industry as a whole
• Fluency in a second language is an advantage but not essential, particularly French, Spanish or German
• Experience working within a surveys environment is ideal but not essential

• Capability and experience communicating via technology and remotely.
• Professional presence and demeanor.
• Competent in electronic communications: computer-based, phone, blackberry, etc.
• Mental agility and creativity as applied to client solutions conceptualization or execution.
