The Role

We are supporting a leading international financial services organization in their search for a Senior Corporation Tax Analyst to join their team in Warsaw.

Covering the UK, EMEA and APAC, in respect of all group corporate tax compliance and provision obligations.

It will be ideal for anyone looking to develop and broaden their experience in a complex and fast paced international financial services group.

Job location

Warsaw, Poland

Hybrid model / onsite for 3 days per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of the corporate monthly tax provisions, to include bookings of journals and balance sheet substantiation.
  • Preparing reconciliations of current and deferred tax balances across the UK, EMEA and APAC group.
  • Calculation and booking of return to provision adjustments.
  • Management of the outsourced corporation tax returns submission process, and being responsible for responding to queries from the outsourced service provider.
  • Liaising with Finance and external auditors in the UK and overseas, requiring strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Responsibility for monitoring the Effective Tax Rates and reporting to the US Tax team on these, including proof of tax and deferred tax substantiations.
  • Provided tax support for quarterly and annual management presentations in relation to movement in provisions and deferred tax balances.
  • Preparing the corporation tax payments process including preparation of detailed underlying calculations.
  • Reporting related to withholding taxes and handling the process in respect of associated reclaims.

Candidate Requirements

  • Communication skills – excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thomson Reuters OneSource experience advantageous.
  • Strong accountancy-based skillset with a detailed working understanding of current and deferred tax and applicable GAAP.
  • Experience with dealing with auditor queries and resolving these.
  • An extremely organised individual due to the complexity of the group structure.
  • Adaptable - Proven ability to thrive in a complex matrix environment, collaborate effectively with broader teams, bringing people together to deliver.
  • High levels of self-awareness and committed to personal development with a growth mind-set.
  • Thoughtful and demonstrates good judgment and strong decision-making skills.
  • Financial services (banking, other brokerages, private equity) experience is an advantage.
