The Senior Director, Product Compliance plays a critical role in embedding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance by design across our digital ecosystem. This leader works with a team of compliance experts as part of the Digital product business and partners with corporate IT, security, and legal/privacy to ensure compliance standards are met as we innovate.”

The successful candidate will combine technical fluency in compliance and risk management with exceptional collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills. They will understand how our products are built and used and will build trusted relationships that allow compliance to become a shared, enabling discipline across the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead cross-functional collaboration between Digital’s Design, Product, Engineering, PMO and corporate Security, Legal and Privacy teams to operationalize compliance requirements within the digital product lifecycle.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to product and engineering leaders, balancing compliance and privacy needs with innovation, customer experience, and delivery velocity.
• Partner with the Corporate Privacy office to implement Korn Ferry’s Privacy Program requirements within Digital, including data collection, transfer, deletion, and data subject requests.
• Work closely with the Corporate Security office to ensure control design and operational efficiency that supports certifications such as ISO.
• Facilitate collaborative problem-solving to address risk assessment findings and drive timely, sustainable remediation.
• Educate and enable teams by building understanding of privacy, security, and compliance best practices through training, documentation, and consistent communication.
• Maintain comprehensive reporting on compliance health, risk status, and progress against audit and remediation commitments in partnership with corporate teams.
• Champion a compliance by design culture, embedding awareness of privacy, data protection, and security into early-stage product decisions.
• Represent the Digital team in enterprise-wide compliance and certification initiatives, ensuring alignment across Corporate Technology and Global Privacy functions.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in product, technology, audit, or consulting environments focused on compliance, privacy, or risk management.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and programs in matrixed, global organizations.
• Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills across multiple, complex initiatives.
• Ability to translate complex regulations into practical guidance for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success in building collaborative partnerships and resolving issues constructively.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as GDPR, ISO 27001/27018, SOC 2, SOX, NIST, and COBIT.
• Experience engaging with external auditors and managing certification or risk review processes.
• Certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, CISM, or CISSP preferred.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics.
• Excellent facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with strong data literacy and process thinking.
• Comfortable engaging with senior executives, external auditors, and technical teams alike.
• Strong PowerPoint, Excel, and documentation skills for reporting and enablement.
• Interest in emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, and Automation and their compliance implications.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Computer Science, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
