Position Summary
The Associate Consultant role is focused on providing analytics and insight to our advisory consulting team while supporting the team by undertaking elements of project management and related support services.
The position will support the preparation of proposals for new work, undertake targeted research and analysis to enhance our client insights. An additional focus area will be on supporting the Consulting team by managing the establishment of projects, monitoring performance and reporting from internal systems.
The workload will be scoped, allocated then reviewed by Senior members of the team. There will be some direct interaction with clients but the bulk of work will be desk/office based.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide analytical insights through Excel and a variety of internal reporting/management tools to support client projects and provide business insights.
- Provide information or data to external clients either directly or as directed by a more senior colleague.
- Support business development efforts of senior colleagues. This will include participating in client calls and meetings and producing initial drafts for elements of proposals.
- Develop an understanding of the business of consulting by supporting with Senior team members at various levels across a variety of projects. This will include both the development of project content and undertaking the administration and setup of client projects in our systems.
- Continue to develop own analytical consulting skills, knowledge and understanding of expertise areas.
- Remain abreast of emerging research to ensure that advice and support provided to clients and consultants is as up to date, relevant and insightful as possible.
- Escalate client requests appropriately to help manage expectations and assist in the development of client relationship.
- Develop an internal network of Korn Ferry (KF) Advisory relationships to broaden understanding of our business and identify additional internal resources to support the delivery of work.
- Deliver high quality work that meets expectations for timeliness, accuracy and completeness. At all times maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- Work effectively with team members to cooperate and exchange information efficiently. This includes organizing own work activities to fit with the overall plan.
Professional experience / Qualifications / Skills
- 1 - 2 years previous business experience in an analytics role is preferred.
- Skilled in understanding and applying, standard solutions and product offerings relevant to a service line or expertise area.
- Has an understanding of the business environment and organization structures.
- Has awareness of own limitations and can identify support and training requirements.
- Can apply the provided tools, techniques or procedures appropriate to assigned work and provide recommendations for process improvement where possible.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and business writing skills are essential.
Education
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
