As a Senior User Experience Researcher at Korn Ferry, you’ll bring comprehensive research expertise to guide how talent professionals experience our unified digital suite. You’ll work independently on complex, cross-functional research initiatives, triangulating data and uncovering new truths through creative, method-pairing approaches.

This role bridges tactical usability and strategic discovery -- connecting insight to business goals, identifying opportunities across products, and mentoring peers in best practices. You’ll ensure that user understanding informs design and product decisions at every level of the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Research Leadership & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end research projects from scoping to storytelling using qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Triangulate across data sources -- usability findings, analytics, and direct user feedback -- to build a comprehensive understanding of user behavior and needs.
  • Pair methods creatively to deliver both validation and discovery signals without sacrificing rigor.
  • Surface patterns and opportunity areas across the Talent Suite to inform platform-level consistency and suite-wide improvements.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering leads to define research questions, embed studies, and align on actionable outcomes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, helping partners navigate ambiguity, balance risk, and make informed design and business decisions.
  • Communicate insights in persuasive, audience-appropriate formats -- from tactical recommendations to strategic narratives.

Practice & Mentorship

  • Contribute to the evolution of research standards, tools, and team processes; champion new ways of working.
  • Mentor and coach early-career researchers or cross-functional partners, building research capability across the org.
  • Participate in team planning, helping scope and prioritize work, estimate effort, and manage competing timelines effectively.

Impact & Systems Thinking

  • Regularly impact cross-product and platform initiatives; identify how discrete findings connect into suite-level strategy.
  • Explore broader applications of insight to influence future product directions and early-stage concept development.
  • Collaborate on foundational artifacts (personas, journey maps, ecosystem diagrams) that anchor product and platform planning.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-8 years of professional UX research experience in digital product environments; enterprise SaaS or HR/talent products a plus.
  • Deep understanding and practical application of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Strong analytical skills -- able to synthesize across diverse data sources and translate findings into clear, actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated success operating autonomously on complex projects and influencing roadmap or strategy.
  • Skilled communicator and storyteller; able to tailor messaging to executives, product teams, and technical partners.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Pendo) and research platforms (e.g., UserTesting, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Maze).
  • Proven ability to mentor, guide, and elevate team members and cross-disciplinary peers.

EDUCATION

  • Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors, Anthropology, Information Science or related field (preferred).
