The RoleWe are looking for a Head of International Operations Control, to join our international client. Highly motivated individual will be responsible for ensuring that the Operational risk is managed and mitigated through the existing controls that have been implemented and creating new processes where required. Help manage and drive the implementation of system and process improvements within the firm, in particular to meet regulatory requirements.
Job locationWarsaw, Poland Hybrid model / onsite for 3-4 days per week
Key responsibilitiesMonitor cash-stock exceptions. Oversee and review Client Money daily reconciliation. Implement cross training matrix to close knowledge gaps with the teams. Escalating issues to senior management when required. Produce MI to review potential risk items and eradicate manual processes where possible. Oversight of the cancel/amend report and extended settlement report to meet SOX requirements. Look to streamline efficiencies across all entities in accordance with the daily control’s reports.
Projects: Intellimatch Enhancement. Potential replacement DUCO Kyriba project to streamline payment process Oversight of CSS enhancements relating to Dividend and Coupon process Munster US Clearing for CFE. Making sure correct controls are in place
Key Functions & ControlsResponsible for the Daily Client Money reconciliation process and weekly oversight of the legacy CASS Assets the firm holds
Regular discussions with direct reports regrading the Intellimatch reconciliation processes for ALL European entities relating to Cash and Stock accounts
Management MI is produced and reviewed for any aged breaks
The internal control reports are sent out daily and reviewed to make sure outstanding breaks are cleared within a timely fashion
Oversight of the Operations Payment process (Operations, Payroll, Accounts Payable)
Further controls have been while Kariba roll out is being finalised
Within the Control team the Operations MI Packs and volumes reports are generated and sent to senior management for review
Sign off SOX control for the settlement and payment process on a quarterly basis
Oversight of the Cancel-Amend, Extended Settlement and late booked reports for CFE, BGC and GFI
Regular meeting and oversight of the Asset Servicing function relating to coupon-dividends and Corporate Action events
Sign off the Operations Cash account balance at month end and liaise with finance if any discrepancies
Systems usedMicrosoft Office, IntelliMATCH, Recollector, Admin, Duco, Kyriba, Finastra, FXL, Phase3 Crest Gui
