Position SummaryThe HR Risk and Governance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining risk management and governance frameworks within the Human Resources function. This role ensures compliance with employment laws and internal policies, identifies potential risks, and leads initiatives to mitigate HR-related risks across the organization. The manager is also tasked with overseeing the management and dissemination of critical HR information, ensuring that employees have access to accurate, up-to-date resources. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical abilities, a comprehensive understanding of HR processes, and expertise in risk management, governance, and information management.

Key Responsibilities• Design, implement, and monitor HR risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures.• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and evaluate HR-related risks, including compliance, operational, reputational, and strategic risks.• Lead governance initiatives to ensure HR processes align with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.• Collaborate with HR, legal, compliance, and business leaders to address risk issues and ensure robust controls are in place.• Develop and deliver training and awareness programs on HR risk and governance topics for HR staff and business managers.• Monitor changes in employment legislation, regulatory requirements, and industry trends, advising stakeholders on implications and necessary changes.• Prepare and present reports on HR risk and governance activities, findings, and recommendations to senior management.• Support the investigation and resolution of HR-related incidents, breaches, or complaints, ensuring appropriate escalation and documentation.• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of HR risk management and governance practices.• Develop, track, and analyze HR metrics, KPIs, and OKRs to assess the performance and effectiveness of HR risk and governance initiatives, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement to leadership.• Oversee HR Information Management by maintaining and updating employee handbooks, internal web pages, SharePoint sites, and other digital resources to ensure consistency, accessibility, and accuracy of HR documentation for all staff.
Qualifications and Experience• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).• 5+ years of experience in HR risk management, governance, compliance, or a related area.• Strong knowledge of employment law, HR operations, and risk management principles.• Experience developing and implementing policies, procedures, and controls within HR or similar functions.• Proven experience in managing HR information resources such as employee handbooks, intranet sites, and digital content platforms.• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities; able to influence and collaborate with a range of stakeholders.• Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP/SCP, HRCI, or risk management credentials are advantageous• Integrity and sound judgment• Attention to detail and accuracy• Project management and leadership skills• Ability to work independently and within a team• Strong presentation and report-writing skills• Adaptability in a dynamic regulatory and business environment
Working ConditionsThis is a full-time, office-based position with occasional travel required for meetings, training, or audits. Flexible working arrangements may be available.
