Position Summary
The Head of Product Control – Warsaw will be responsible for building and leading the regional Product Control function to support Global Trading and Investment Banking businesses.
This role will ensure the integrity of financial reporting, deliver accurate and timely P&L and balance sheet information, and maintain strong governance and control frameworks.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading extensive product control teams within global investment banks or trading institutions, with deep understanding of financial products, valuation, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & StrategyEstablish and lead Product Control team in Warsaw, building a center of excellence that supports global trading desks.Define and implement best practices, policies, and procedures to ensure strong financial control and reporting standards.Partner with senior management across Finance, Risk, and Front Office to provide transparency into business performance and risks.
Product Control OversightOversee daily P&L production, balance sheet substantiation, and valuation processes across trading desks.Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial results, with appropriate controls and reconciliations.Review and analyze P&L drivers, commentary, and variance analysis across business lines.Oversee month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring alignment with global finance and accounting standards (US GAAP / IFRS).Maintain and enhance a robust control framework that mitigates financial reporting and operational risks.
Stakeholder ManagementServe as the senior Warsaw-based point of contact for regional and global finance leadership.Collaborate with technology and operations to enhance data quality, reporting automation, and system efficiency.Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring strong governance and compliance with regulatory expectations.
Team DevelopmentBuild, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of product controllers and analysts.Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.Create succession plans and development pathways for future finance leaders.
Skills & Experience RequiredBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline; professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CFA) preferred.12+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior product control or financial control role within a global investment bank.In-depth understanding of financial products (e.g., fixed income, equities, derivatives, FX) and valuation principles.Strong knowledge of P&L and balance sheet control processes, accounting standards, and capital markets operations.Proven ability to manage change, drive process improvement, and implement technology-enabled solutions.Excellent leadership, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.Fluent in English and Polish.
