Duties & Responsibilities:

 Management Reporting

  • Monthly revenue reporting and update of quarterly outlook for Corporate FP&A
  • Oversees the preparation of monthly financial performance reports and monthly operating reviews for APAC Professional Search
  • Reviews and analyzes monthly actual vs. budget / forecasted results and variances and provide analytical support to facilitate understanding the financial results of their businesses
  • Identifies and develops solutions to improve business processes and reporting
  • Ensures LOB consistency in reporting within APAC and global

 Annual Operating Plan / Revenue, Expense and Cashflow Forecasts

  • Manages the Annual Operating Plan process, coordinating with the Corporate FP&A team
  • Manages the monthly revenue and expense forecast process and provides input to the senior finance team members for monthly and quarterly new business
  • Prepares the weekly Revenue and New Business forecast
  • Provides variance analysis for actuals vs forecast

SG&A Analysis

  • Closely monitor and report SG&A expense trends versus forecast and identify areas of cost reductions
  • Makes recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability
  • Identifies and addresses potential financial reporting issues or concerns

 

Individual Performance / KPIs reporting

  • Oversees and manages individual consultants’ performance metrics, including explaining and clarifying metrics
  • Review performance metric waiver requests
  • Oversees KPI reporting for the Business Unit and Markets Leaders

 FP&A Centre Of Expertise

  • Identify efficiency improvements in APAC offices’ management reporting
  • Support APAC finance business leaders in their management reporting needs

 Support Operations

  • Supports PS APAC in driving and managing the business

 Others

  • Builds relationships with Business and Financial regional and global colleagues, encouraging collaboration while driving to meet key deadlines using established processes/controls, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned
  • Provides analysis support for regional meetings / Enterprise projects
  • Partner with IT and Corporate Financial Application team to support the SAP & reporting tools implementation / efficiency projects
  • Other Regional Finance projects, as needs arise

Ideal candidate:

  • CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience, with at least 3 years experience in one of the Big Four accounting firms, followed by a FP&A position with a MNC.
  • Good grasp of statutory, legal, accounting and taxation requirements
  • Able to explain financial perspectives and directions clearly and meaningfully.
  • Strong analytical skills and an inquiring mind
  • Good people management and interaction skills with the ability to interact with peers and senior finance and business managers
  • Able to apply good business sense in assessing projects and determine management information requirements
  • Proactive and is keen to learn the business.
  • Creative thinking
  • A strong working knowledge of EXCEL is essential. Preference will be given to those who has worked with business intelligence and data mining tools
  • Knowledge of SAP is advantageous
