Korn Ferry is looking for a Senior UX Researcher to join our rapidly growing product organization and lead UX research initiatives for some of our core products. Our UX researchers are involved early in the product development process—partnering with Product Managers, Designers, and other key roles while interacting directly with stakeholders, customers, and users to ensure insights are shared early to strategically guide the overall product and user experience direction from the very beginning.

- Lead strategic and tactical user research activities, including concept validation, interviews, surveys, contextual inquiries, and guiding usability studies to uncover deep insights into user needs, challenges, and behaviors.
- Drive research efforts that directly influence the product roadmap across our Organizational Strategy products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to prioritize and define research objectives and design effective research methodologies.
- Synthesize complex research findings into compelling insights, recommendations, and opportunities that guide the design and development of our products, ensuring alignment with business and user goals.
- Mentor and guide junior researchers and designers, setting standards for research methodologies, tools, and documentation to ensure high-quality outputs.
- Engage in iterative testing and evaluation of product features, from early-stage concepts to final usability testing, to refine the user experience and ensure optimal product-market fit.
- Advocate for a human-centered design process across Org Strategy, influencing key stakeholders and integrating user research findings into every stage of the product development lifecycle.
- Craft and deliver engaging presentations and narratives to communicate research findings and their impact on product strategy to stakeholders at all levels.
- Continuously evolve research practices, identifying opportunities to improve research quality, efficiency, and impact on the product organization.
What you bring to the table:
- Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods, with the ability to apply the most suitable approach based on research questions, product stage, and user needs.
- Proven experience leading end-to-end research studies, from participant recruitment to delivering actionable insights that drive product decisions and strategy.
- Strong experience creating and utilizing user personas, journey maps, and empathy maps that guide high-level product strategy and design execution.
- Expertise in collaborating with cross-functional teams of designers, product managers, and engineers, with a deep understanding of how to embed research effectively into each stage of the product lifecycle.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex user behaviors and insights into concrete, impactful recommendations for the product.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with a proven track record of engaging and influencing diverse audiences, including executive-level stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with Design Thinking, Human-Centered Design, Hypothesis-Driven Design, and/or Jobs to Be Done (JTBD) frameworks, with a focus on applying these frameworks to large-scale enterprise challenges.
- A portfolio or detailed case studies demonstrating your research experience, methodologies, and the resulting impact on products and business outcomes.
Other Skills and Responsibilities
- Proficiency with research tools and platforms for data collection, analysis, and insight dissemination, ensuring comprehensive and accessible research documentation.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple research initiatives across different products, prioritizing for the greatest impact on user experience and product strategy.
- Strong organizational skills to ensure research insights are well-documented and accessible for use by cross-functional team members.
- Flexibility to adapt research plans based on changing priorities in the product roadmap while maintaining research integrity.
- Excellent facilitation skills, with the ability to lead workshops, co-creation sessions, and cross-functional design reviews.
Preferred Experience:
- 5+ years of experience conducting UX research in an Enterprise SaaS environment, ideally within Human Capital Management, Talent & Development, or Recruiting domains.
- Demonstrated expertise in research methodologies such as contextual inquiry, ethnographic studies, interviews, and large-scale surveys tailored to enterprise settings.
- A degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Anthropology, or equivalent experience.
