We’re excited to welcome a Head of Finance who will play a pivotal role in managing the Finance function to provide the full scope of finance support requisite of an overseas subsidiary of an international publicly listed company combined with a strong focus on business support for the growth of the firm in Indonesia and to drive target profitability via strong business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and lead the accounting, finance and human resources administration for Indonesia

  • Provide technical leadership for all accounting and financial management matters.
  • Preparation of annual organizational budget plans and monthly forecasts. Maintain oversight of the full range of forecasts (new business, revenue, expense and cashflow), working closely with the business stakeholders to ensure that these forecasts reflect business reality.
  • Proactively provide headlight financial and business analysis, management reports and/or business case studies that contribute to management decision-making.
  • Review legal contracts (including client contracts).
  • Ensure complete transparency in the accounting and financial reporting processes and in all information being communicated within the company.
  • Work closely with finance professionals in the Regional and APAC offices.
  • As People is the key element of our business, ensure that HR & Compensation management and reporting are being adequately managed in conjunction with the Country Leaders
  • Represent the office in a professional way in all external supplier relationships and to negotiate all agreements to mutual benefit for both parties, where required

Partner with business leaders in matrix manner

  • Act as a business partner to the Country Manager, other Country Leaders in managing a rapidly growing region, providing financial direction and guidance
  • Gain full and complete understanding of all the Lines of Business and the operating models and provide timely and relevant update of management information to the Country Manager and partners enhancing financial clarity within the management group
  • Foresee and manage issues, provide direction and work with business leaders to maximize the margins of the company.
  • Highlight and work with management on productivity metrics and Corporate or Regional projects as these arise

Financial and Compliance Legacy

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and all KF financial accounting and control policies
  • Timely and accurate reporting of month end accounts in compliance with both local and US GAAP, including quarterly SEC reporting
  • Compliance with local (direct and indirect) taxation and statutory requirements
  • Liaise and work with auditors
  • Ensure that an adequate system of internal control is in place and properly monitored in order to protect the company’s assets and interests
  • Establish and reinforce a culture that encourages the highest level of integrity and ethical behaviour in all business activities

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

  • CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • Minimum 15 years of working experience, with at least 3 years’ experience in one of the Big Four accounting firms, followed by a senior finance position with a US MNC.
  • Strong grasp of statutory, legal, accounting and taxation requirements.
  • Good understanding of cross-border transactions.
  • Good understanding of US and/or International GAAP as well as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act is essential.
  • A strong command of written and spoken English, arising from interaction with the regional office and regional colleagues.
  • Good analytical skills, an inquiring mind and ability to think out of the box.
  • Good people management and interaction skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff, including senior management groups. Be able to interact with senior business managers and explain financial perspectives, directions and compliance requirements clearly and meaningfully.
  • Be able to apply good business sense in assessing projects and determine management information requirements. Possess the skill to provide a clear financial perspective on business to senior managers.
  • Proactive and keen to learn the business.
  • SAP knowledge is advantageous
